The weather is very hot for June. There was a big but brief storm here last week and many trees were damaged.

poems

Poetry is beautiful use of the language. It is difficult to write poetry because it is so specialized. Each word is chosen so carefully to convey a certain nuance. I wish I could write poems.

This Spring I checked out Librarything again. It is a really great site. It is fun to see who has library lists similar to the one you have.
It is also a better place for reader reviews than amazon.
It is a good place to learn about new books and authors.

Today is Monday. It is autumn and the colors are beautiful.

Summertime soon

Today feels like summertime! It is very warm in Pennsylvania. The apple tree in my yard is full of white blossoms. Too bad only little crabapples will grow later. But the squirrels seem to like them!

September, Again

September is here again! It is happy time of year, with new beginnings and a return to comfortable routines. Kids go back to school with old friends to learn new and interesting subjects in school.

I am thinking of going back to school, too, to get a new degree. The opportunity to enter a nursing program has opened up for me, and I am not going to pass it up. This is an ongoing process, and more developments will follow.

For now, September is a time to enjoy the autumn season and prepare for the winter ahead. It is a time for planning and actions; a time for excitement!

Spring Has Arrived

I'm so glad Spring is here. The it is the loveliest season. Everything is in bloom. The trees and flowers are so beautiful, and it is so soothing to hear the birds singing again. I hope everyone is enjoying the exquisite time of year.

Halloween candy

Soon it will be Halloween. Time to buy candy. I like chocolate best. I think a lot of the trick-or-treaters like chocolate, too. This is the first year Halloween will be during Daylight Savings Time.

October Colors

October is here! The leaves are changing colors and everything is so beautiful! The weather is nice. Mornings are crisp, but the aftenoons are warm. And it's still sunny! This week I'll be married 20 years. I can't believe it.

September is Back to School

Today is September 1st! Summer is ending, but I love the "Back to School" season. Life is all about learning. There is still so much to learn!
